
Rossi Hydropower History

- A museum in the city of Uglic, whose exhibit is devoted to the history of hydropower development in Russia. The Museum is located in the office building of the Uglysh NPP. Open on 22 December 2006.
Under the museum, a two-storey building in the 30-40s was rebuilt and the Volgolak was previously operated. The project was developed on the basis of Russian and foreign experience in the establishment of industry and corporate museum exhibits, taking into account the latest trends in museum exhibitions. Modern technologies have been used to equip the museum, such as sound displays, special computer programmes and managed maquitas.
An exhibition is presented in 11 Halls on the history of hydropower development in the USSR and Russia, the outstanding professions, the generation and transfer of electricity, the construction and installation of the GEC and the hydro resources of the land. There is no equivalent of the museum in any country in the world.
